Since 1980, Lampost Theatre Co. has been creating and innovating ways to communicate the truth of the Gospel. Our desire is to challenge the Body and reach out to the world with the transforming message of Christ.
But it all begins with living the message before we preach it. That’s why Lampost is committed to a lifestyle where team members live together in a discipleship community. Here we challenge one another daily, as we grow together through prayer, study, worship, and shared life. Here we discover our message.
Lampost creates unique theatrical experiences with productions ranging from full-blown musicals to intimate touring ensembles. Our eclectic style ranges from sketch comedy to physical theatre. We produce media and resources to equip others in creative ministry. We dive into a variety of projects with one thing in common: breaking creative territory for the Kingdom.
Our home base wraps these things together into one facility encompassing a coffee shop, a small theatre, workspaces, and housing.

Every foreign mission must learn the language of the people, must infiltrate the culture, must die to their own customs and embrace a new way of life.
Our mission at Lampost Theatre is the same.
We are learning new languages to speak to a postmodern culture that has been de-sensitized to the Christian message. Like the prophets long ago, we are finding new images to shout an ancient message.
We are seeking creative individuals with servant hearts who are ready to join us on this journey. Since 1980, Lampost has developed innovative ministry combining performing arts, media, and creative discipleship. In addition to theatrical performance, team members staff our resident facility which houses a coffee shop, small performance venue, and college discipleship ministry. Additionally, team members live in a community/discipleship context. Lampost partners with campus ministries, churches, and mission organizations.
