Director of Worship

  Requirements: Waukegan Community Church has well established music program and is seeking a BA/BS degree experienced music professional to undertake our Music Ministry.
This is a full time position and is currently open.

Requirements:
  • A Personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.

  • Sense of God’s call to full time ministry.
  • Gifted in leadership, organization and administration.
  • Gifted in musical skills and abilities.
  • Gifted in keyboard skills.
  • Training and experience in music and leading worship.
  • Ability to teach and train others.
  • Communication and public relations skills.
  • Positive and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Not prone to anger, criticism or negativity.
  • Has a servant heart and attitude.
  • Is both flexible and teachable.
  • Is a “People person”.
  Description: Direction of the Inspirational choir, Praise teams, Orchestra, Youth Choral, and special music for both Sunday worship services, seasonal worship, and outreach programs. Accompaniment of the choirs on piano and organ. Coordination or direction of various music groups. Maintenance of a music budget, music library and soundboard knowledge & experience.
Interaction with all musicians/vocalists in a positive, instructive and encouraging manner. Consultation with pastors, staff and worship team in planning the music for all worship services as part of a worship planning team. Possession of strong biblical Christian faith and familiarity with the Baptist General Conference doctrines.
