Job Description: Part Time Worship Leader
Purpose:
- To assist the Senior Pastor in the continuing development and implementation of the 11:15AM New Community contemporary worship service, by leading worship, enlisting and training volunteer leaders for the music ministry, and cooperating with the other leaders at St. Margaret’s to fulfill its vision.

Duties:
- In Consultation with the Senior Pastor, develop and plan the weekly worship service.
- Engaging the congregation in worship by making them an integral part of the service
- Planning and organizing of weekly rehearsals for worship team.
- Plan and arrange an “Order of Service” for worship services with Senior Pastor
- Remain professionally current in ministry area
- Plan and evaluate worship services with Senior Pastor in light of the whole church calendar
- Oversee the set-up and take-down of music equipment on stage when necessary for special events
- Knowledge of soundboard/P.A. equipment sufficient to communicate with paid/volunteer sound technicians and operate equipment effectively.

Administrative Expectations:
- Cooperate with St. Margaret’s staff on special music needs (e.g. Christmas, Easter…)
- Attend six month review sessions by Senior Pastor for reflection and planning.
- Prepare an annual music budget for approval and administer the budget
- Monitor the purchasing, maintenance and replacement of all music-related equipment, supplies and instruments.

- Bachelors degree
- Spiritual maturity and commitment to a Christian lifestyle
