- Personal commitment to Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior
- Models a Christian life through their conduct and speech
- Minimum of two years experience working in the area of Children’s Ministries
- Demonstrated ability to connect with, disciple, evangelize, and teach children in the K through 5th grade level
- Ability to recruit, encourage and equip volunteers for service in the area of Children’s Ministry
- Able to voice and demonstrate a clear calling to the area of Children’s Ministry and pastoral service
- Currently hold or be willing to pursue ministerial credentials under the guidance of the Senior Pastor
- Submit to and pass a background investigation, including reference checks and fingerprint/LiveScan check through the California Department of Justice
- Be in full agreement with the Statement of Faith of The Well..a life-giving Church
- Responsible for the operation of Sundays Children’s Ministry program
- Recruitment and training of volunteers
- Establish and/or maintain outreach and evangelism activities to reach the children of our community
- At all times insure the safety of all children present at any Children’s Ministry event
- In coordination with the Senior Pastor, report all reported or suspected incidents of child abuse in accordance with the laws of the State of California.
- Oversee Children’s Ministry budget
- Operate the Children’s Ministry department in a manner consistent with the overall vision of the Church
- Meets weekly with the Senior Pastor for purposes of personal and ministerial accountability, discipleship and fellowship
